About Us
bokla started the way most good things do. At home. Slowly. With a bit of trial and error and a lot of care.
It began with a father and daughter who both liked making things and spending time doing it together. No grand plan. No five-year vision. Just a shared curiosity and the question: what if we made something properly, and made it together?
She designs. He makes. That’s the deal. Ideas go back and forth, fabrics get tested, sizes get adjusted, and more than a few pieces get remade. Not because they have to be perfect, but because they have to feel right. Close enough isn’t close enough here.
Every bokla piece is made by hand using locally sourced materials. Nothing rushed. Nothing shipped halfway around the world before it’s even finished. It’s a hands-on process, from sketch to stitch, built on patience, trust, and knowing when to say, “Nope, let’s do that again.”
We’re not here to promise life-changing miracles. It’s a scrunchie. Let’s be real. But we do believe in comfort, in treating hair gently, and in products that don’t make your life harder than it already is. Thoughtful materials. Careful construction. Less pulling, less breaking, more ease.
At its core, bokla is about attention. About caring enough to slow down. About making small, everyday things with intention and love, even when no one’s really watching.
It’s a family-run business, built on collaboration, creativity, and showing up for the details. The kind that might seem small, but make all the difference.
Born at home. Made by hand. Made with love.
